Pharmacy practitioner registration fees for 2026–27
Published on 2 Oct 2026
Annual registration fees for registered health professionals across Australia have now been published. In NSW, the fee for pharmacy practitioners has been set at $531.
This is $52 lower than the previous year and covers the period 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027.
Health practitioner registration fees fund regulatory activities that protect the public and preserve confidence in the health system.
The fee NSW practitioners pay is set differently to other states because the regulatory system is different. Here, the Pharmacy Council works with the Health Care Complaints Commission to manage complaints.

There are two components to your fee: the national component set by Ahpra and your National Board; and the NSW component set by the Pharmacy Council to cover the cost of managing complaints.
For 2026–27 your fee breakdown is:
- National fee: $198
- NSW fee: $333
The Council has been able to reduce the NSW component of your fee by 15% this year. This is due to several factors, including a drop in high-risk complaints and complex matters requiring hearings and assessments. Operational efficiencies have allowed us to reduce workforce costs, and an increase in the NSW pharmacy workforce has helped us distribute the costs of regulation.
How to renew
Registration renewals are paid to the Pharmacy Board of Australia and due on 30 November 2026.
