What does the data show?
There were 1,746 registered podiatrists in NSW in 2024–25. During that time, we received 45 complaints about 38 registered podiatrists.
This represents 2.18% of registered podiatrists in NSW. Most complaints in the 2024–25 reporting year were about clinical care (17 complaints), followed by communication (8 complaints).
These patterns are similar to previous years.
We look at complaint trends to help us see issues that may affect public safety. This supports our work to promote safe, high-quality care. Even though clinical care issues were the largest group, the overall rate of complaints remains low compared to the number of registered practitioners.
There were 356 registered students, and we received 1 complaint about them. Complaints about students are rare, but they do occur.
