Common complaints we receive
Complaints during 2024‒25

What does the data show?
There were 2,223 registered practitioners in NSW in 2024–25. During that period, we received 43 complaints about 41 practitioners. This represents 1.84% of registered chiropractors in NSW.
Most complaints in the 2024–25 reporting year were about clinical care (12 complaints) followed by breaches of the National law, such as legal or registration issues (7 complaints).
These patterns are similar to previous years.
We look at complaint trends to help us see issues that may affect public safety. This supports our work to promote safe, high-quality care. Even though clinical care issues were the largest group, the overall rate of complaints remains low compared to the number of registered practitioners.
There were 474 registered chiropractic students in NSW, and we received no complaints about them. Complaints about students are rare, but they do occur.
