Application Fees and Charges

Following a careful review of the application fees and charges related to pharmacy businesses and pecuniary interests, the Pharmacy Council of New South Wales on 13 April 2011, approved an increase of the fees and charges effective from 2 May 2011.
The fees and charges related to pharmacy businesses and pecuniary interests have remained unchanged since July 2002 when there was a modest increase in application fees for New Pharmacy and Change of Pharmacy Ownership and the annual fee for Renewal of Pharmacy Registration.
An analysis of the work required to process the volume of applications received, many of which involve increasingly complex business structures requiring legal review, indicates that the revenue received from the fees fails to cover the administrative costs. The fee increases will ensure the financial viability of the Council into the future and will enable it to continue to fulfil its responsibilities under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW).
The following schedule of fees and charges is effective from 2 May 2011. All applications received on or after 2 May 2011 will be subject to the new fee.
